History:
Griock's have been around since the big bang that created the world. Although they have always been non-corporal, meaning they didn't have a body in the world, only a spirit form. When the Xethase species began, the Griock's realised their magic was the same as the dietary needs they have, and that the Xethase are able to create bodies with their magic. The Griock's and the Xethase came to an agreement that would allow the Griock's a physical form on Opleon, as long as they supply the Xethase with their servitude and spiritual protection, as well as a more powerful magic.

 

The Griock species has not had many problems with other species, though humans often confuse them for ghosts and poltergeists.

 

Habitat-

While the body is being created and manifested, the Griock lives inside either the Xethase it had bonded too in the bonding ritual or in the astral world.

Appearance:

The Griock's body isn't their real form, their body is created so they can survive in the human world. The Xethase create the Griock's body with their magic, it's unclear how to process works, many assume it's the mixture of a Griock and Xethase's magic combining, with a mix of physical and astral world magic creating a physical body for an astral being, of course, it's not been proven, thus is only a theory. The shape and design of the bodies are determined by the magic of the Xethase creating it.

 

Griock's have hair-like magic storage, it looks like normal hair, however it isn't, it is how they store their magic in the physical world.

Intelligence and Emotional Capacity:
Their intelligence is average, with some high and low peaks here and there, their Emotional capacity is more than a human's, as they are empathic, they can occasionally feel the emotion of someone, but can always feel the emotion of their Xethase.

Reproduction:
They don't reproduce, though they do form emotional bonds people from the physical world call 'love' they don't have organs. A Griock is created when a new Xethase is born, the Griock's that belong to the parents' syphon off half their power each and merge it together to create a new Griock for the child.

Health:
Griock's are immortal in the astral world, in the physical world, if their body is injured it can be easily healed, however, if the Xethase they are bonded too is killed, the body will be destroyed, occasionally this disintegrates a Griock's astral form, though most of the time the Griock is sent to the astral world with minor injuries.
